Following some great Sprint events, including the Ken Wallace camp, and considering the extremely positive athlete feedback, we are running a flat water sprint camp on 25 January 2020.

Three Highly credentialed, experienced and decorated coaches will feature – Pete Gargiulo, Serghei Cucsa and Dr Sergei Kiryshin.

All kayak and canoe athletes welcome with a focus on preparation for national level competitions.

There is NO COST for this camp but you must register for a ticket to confirm your attendance.

PETE GARGIULO is an experienced and successful level 3 coach. Peter has headed the team as Coach for Victoria and South Australia in the NTID (National talent identification and development) Sprint kayaking program and has trained successfully squads producing Australian Champions and multiple Junior Champions.

SERGHEI CUCSA is a multi champion canoe paddler of Moldova & two time medalist at Soviet Union Nationals.
Highly qualified attending Special Sport Boarding School in Moldova, Bachelor of pedagogics (physical education and sport), Post graduation study/research (scientific advisor for the National Soviet Union Canoeing team) in St. Petersburg and Defending PhD dissertation on the Development of the Special methods for the strength training for elite athletes.
Serghei holds Australian qualifications as Level 1 – Canoe coach and Level 4 – Dragon Boating.
His extensive coaching experience includes Canoe coaching beginners through to National levels in both Moldova and Australia, 15 years currently coaching the Melbourne Flames Dragon Boat team (Australian Champions for last 7 years) and a 10 year rein as Head coach of the National Australian Dragon boat team – 269 medal (54 gold) at the 5 World Championships and 5 Asian Championships
Currently Coach of Sabastian Wakim, Australian representative marathon C1.

BS (physical education)
Master of sports (canoeing)
MBBS medicine, Ukraine.
Fellow of Royal Australian College General Practitioners.
Dr Sergei holds extensive experience in coaching and assisting with Canoe representatives in both C1 and C2.
